I cannot believe I did this, but I didn’t wear anything me made other than my dress. I didn’t even realize that until I was driving home from work and was thinking about what I wanted to share today. I promise I will make up for that. I have a super awesome new giveaway that I will be sharing within the next couple of days. But as a teaser, let me just tell you all that I work with some amazing talented women who are just as generous!
Misses’ dress with bodice variations and bolero.
6-22. I made a 20.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes it did. I made the bolero jacket,
Were the instructions easy to follow?
I didn’t read them. I glanced at the pictures and realized it was like putting together a vest. The pictures were pretty straight forward though.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I really like this pattern. I like that it was very simple and quick to put together. I think it took me about an hour to complete. I want to make the dress but I have yet to find a border print fabric I like for it.
1 yard of 100% cotton with a Star Wars print and 1 yard of 100% cotton muslin for the lining.
1 – 1 1/8″ button
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I did not make any changes to this. Everything worked so well.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I will be sewing this bolero again soon and I really want to make on the of the dress versions. If you are lucky enough to have this pattern give it a shot.
I was really surprised to find this pattern only had one other review and that it was discontinued. The dress styles are great as is the bolero. I made this to wear to Gen Con in August. I am pretty excited to show it off there.
